IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL MEMBERS

SPRING BREAK SIGNUP HAS BEEN RELEASED

Wait Line Policy:

  • If you are 10 minutes late for your slot time, you forfeit your slot and it will be filled by a member standing in line.
  • The wait line will line up in the parking lot along the building.  It is first come first served for open lanes.  You must have filled out the COVID Health Survey before coming to the club and standing in line.  If the survey has not been filled out, you will be asked to go to the end of the line.
  • There is no guarantee that you will be placed into a lane just for standing in line.

We are open for lap swimming!  In order to participate, you must have paid your 2021 Annual Dues.  Be on the lookout for emails from SignUp Genius, or simply click on the following link:

In addition to signing up for a slot, you will need to fill out the following COVID Health Screening Survey every time you will be at the pool.  The survey must be filled out on the day of your time slot.

Health Survey Form

SignUps will be published on the following schedule:

Weekend signups will be published on Wednesdays (for the upcoming weekend) at 8:00pm.

Weekday signups will be published on Fridays (for the following week) at 8:00pm.

Update on Lap Swim:

We are limiting the amount of individuals in each lane to 2.  Each person must be from the same household and able to swim continuous laps.

Three Classifications of SignUps:

1. Adults only - 16 and over only - Weekdays.  No lifeguard on duty. Limited to 2 people from the same household.  Per our insurance, we cannot have anyone under 16 in the water without a paid lifeguard on duty.

2. Advanced Youth/Adult Swim - Weekends.  Lifeguard on duty.  The requirements during this time is that everyone in lane MUST be from the same household and limited to only 2 people.  Everyone that comes to the club MUST be in the water.  This allows children in the pool as long as the lifeguards have determined that the child can swim independent continuous laps.  This discretion will be up to the lifeguards.  You will not be able to watch your children from the deck or sidelines.  However, if you're children are old enough to do continuous laps and you do not want to be in the water with them, they may be in the lane while you are in your vehicle in the parking lot.

3. Family Fun Swim - Weekends until Summer Break.  Lifeguard on duty.  The pool is split into 10 sections, allowing for 10 families to be in the pool safely.  Everyone in the lane must be from the same household and must stay in their section of the pool at all times.  Everyone that comes to the pool, must be in the water at all times.  No exceptions.

Tennis Courts:

We have started to allow for Tennis Court usage 7 days a week as well. Weekdays have 60 minute time slots from 8:00a-6:45p.  Weekends, the courts are open for sign ups from 9:00a-1:30p.  Please use the same link above for SignUp Genius.  If you are interested in lessons from Suzi Mills, her information is listed on the Tennis Lessons tab.

Basketball Courts are now OPEN!!!!

Basketball Courts will utilize a SignUp for time. Weekdays have 60 minute time slots from 8:00a-6:45p.  Weekends, the courts are open for sign ups from 9:00a-1:30p.  Please use the same link above for SignUp Genius.

The diving board and deep end that goes with the diving board are still OFF LIMITS.

While Orange Tier allows for Volleyball, our area is still too wet and unsafe to play on.  As soon as it is dry and safe to play in that area, we will open up the Volleyball area for SignUp.  For now, that area is off limits.

Previous Update for June 2020:

As we mentioned in our previous update, for the health and well-being of its members and staff as well as by Order of the Alameda County Public Health Department’s Office(1)  Chabot Swim Club will remain closed until the Order has been lifted. Governor Gavin Newsom has instructed localities to adhere to the stricter rules outlined, whether that be at the state(2) or county(1) level. For the location of our Club the more stringent Order is at the county level; the Alameda County Public Health Department’s Order which reads on Page 8, Paragraph iii, Line Item #2:

Use of outdoor recreational areas and facilities with high-touch equipment or that encourage gathering, including, but not limited to, playgrounds, gym equipment, climbing walls, picnic areas, dog parks, and barbecue areas, is prohibited outside of residences, and all such areas shall be closed to public access including by signage and, as appropriate, by physical barriers;

We are following the County’s Health Department guidelines and will open as soon as possible. We have found that people are now being fined $1,000 per person for violations to the order. We are taking this situation very seriously.

Cabana Rentals Info:

Due to social distancing rules, when the club is able to open, we will not be able to hold events or parties in the cabanas.

As of right now, if we are able to fully open, it will be limited to members only.  We anticipate having restrictions on capacity and social distancing once we are finally able to open and want to allow those spots for our members.
